For dogs that can carry a wider collar, designs like The Rio give you an entirely different canvas to work with. More width means more visual impact—and more opportunity to let the details do their thing.

Decide What You Want Colour to Do

This is where Custom really starts to become yours.

You can build a collar around colours already found in your dog's coat, create contrast with something completely different, or simply start with a colour combination you love.

A black dog wearing jewel-toned crystals creates an entirely different effect from that same dog in black leather, black hardware and darker crystals. A red or fawn coat can look completely different again against blues, greens or rich neutral tones.

There isn't one correct palette.

If colour is the point, designs like The Mini Mardi Gras give you plenty of room to play. Its pattern was made for combinations that bring energy and personality to the finished collar.

The Phlyte offers another approach. Its flowing crystal pattern creates movement through the collar, which means changing the crystal colours can completely change the personality of the finished piece.

Two people can begin with exactly the same FBD design and end up with collars that look almost nothing alike.

Think About How the Crystals Will Read

Crystal colour matters, but so does the way those crystals are arranged.

Take the same leather and the same crystals and change only the hardware, and you can end up with a surprisingly different collar.
