Meet Our Founder

If you had told me in 2020 that I would be making dog collars my full-time career, I would have laughed.
In 2019, I was a full-time professional dog trainer with a successful 6-figure business. Dogs were my world. Making collars was something I did on the side for my own dogs, friends, and a small group of clients who wanted something well-made, comfortable and built to last.
Dog training was my profession. Dog collars were my hobby.
Then in March 2020, the world stopped.
When Ontario shut down in-person services, my career disappeared almost overnight. Fusion By Design Collars technically existed at the time, but it wasn't a full fledged business. It was a simple website I'd put together to make ordering easier.
With no choice but to adapt, I turned my full attention to collar making.
I spent long hours crafting collars at my dining room table. That table became my workshop.
Orders grew. Word spread. And within the same year, Fusion By Design Collars reached its first six-figure milestone.
Today, the business operates out of a dedicated 1,000 square foot workshop, and I work alongside a small team of skilled leather artisans. I no longer train dogs professionally, but the dog world remains at the core of everything I do.
Why I Make Collars This Way
I've spent over 30 years in dog training and dog sports. I know how equipment should fit, how it should move, and what causes problems over time.
A collar should never be an afterthought.
It should be comfortable, secure, and durable enough for everyday wear. It should hold up to real use, not just look good in photos.
Every Fusion By Design collar is handcrafted in Ontario. From cutting the leather to placing each crystal by hand, the process is slow, deliberate, and done with care. I don't outsource craftsmanship, and I don't rush production to increase volume.
I make collars that I trust on my own dogs.
What Fusion By Design Collars Is Today
Fusion By Design Collars creates custom, ready-to-wear, and limited edition dog collars, along with matching leashes. Each piece is made with the same attention to detail, comfort, and durability.
More than 5,000 handcrafted collars have gone out into the world so far. Every one represents experience, intention, and respect for the dog wearing it.
This is a woman-owned business.
Everything is hand crafted in Canada.
Dogs always come first.
Looking Ahead
If I could tell my past self anything, it would be this: you're exactly where you're supposed to be.
I'm grateful for the community that has grown around Fusion By Design Collars and for everyone who trusts me and my team to make something for their dog.
Thank you for being here.
