How To Size a French Martingale Leash:
Lower value: Size of the Collar when D-Rings are touching.
Higher value: Size of the Collar when open at its widest.
Ensure that the collar size you have selected is a minimum of 1/2" bigger when fully open than the circumference of your dog's head at the widest point for ease of on/off.

Transform you custom collars into a collar-leash combo with this upgrade option.
The French Leather Martingale Leash Upgrade includes a 4-foot integrated leash, available in either 1/2” or 5/8” width. The collar size you select will dictate the fit of your French Martingale.
For instance, selecting a 10-13” collar size will provide a 10” collar with d-rings touching and extend to 13” when the French Martingale is fully open. Choose a size based on the circumference of your dog's head at the widest point.
Be sure to select a collar size that will allow the French Martingale to slip on and off over your dog's head comfortably when fully open.

Will the crystals stay on through regular daily and competition use?
Yes. The crystals are hand-set individually and have been worn through flyball, agility, dock diving, and everything in between. They're not glued on. In the unlikely event you have an issue, contact us directly. We offer a repair service for all FBD Collars.
How does the leather hold up over time?
Full-grain English bridle leather is built for hard use. It softens and develops character, referred to as patina, with wear. Condition it occasionally and it will outlast collars that cost the same and are made with half the care. Customers regularly come back for a second or third collar while the original is still going.
My dog is between sizes. What should I do?
Reach out before you order and we'll help you choose the correct size. A quick message before you place your order is much easier than adjusting after the fact.

Is this collar suitable for everyday wear or just competition?
Both. The padded lining makes it comfortable for all-day wear, and the leather is durable enough to handle whatever your dog's day looks like. Most of our customers use the same collar for training, competing, and everything else.
Can I see the collar before I commit to a custom order?
The product photos show real collars on real dogs — no retouching of the leather or crystal sparkle. If you have questions about a specific colour combination before you order, send us a message. We've built enough of these to give you an honest answer about what works.
Can I make changes to my order?
Within 24 hours of placing your order, we may be able to accommodate some changes. Once that 24 hour order window has passed, we are unable to accept changes to your order since work will have begun on your order.

This collar is made to order. Standard production time is approximately four (4) weeks from the date your order is placed.
Need it sooner? The Skip The Line option moves your order to the front of the queue — production in approximately one (1) week. Simply add the upgrade to your order.
